About
Hi I’m Tess,
I’m an artist, ecology enthusiast, writer, dancer, and teacher.
The work I do is grounded by my teachers, elders, and community. Weaving together a diverse background in dance education, performance, installation art, horticulture, and environmental science, allows me to cultivate spaces (physical, emotional, conceptual, and otherwise) that are life-affirming and informed by planetary grief.
I’m dedicated to helping people reconnect with the ecosystem they call home. I enjoy the aesthetics of beautifully manicured landscapes, but I’m more interested in the roles we can each play in habitat restoration and localized food production, and the impact that can have on environmental and community health.
My ideal collaborators are people new to the world of plants, people who have established gardens that want to incorporate an ecosystem approach, and anyone interested in the interconnectedness of all life on earth.
